What Did I Rent? 'Murica Edition

Ok guys, so I just got home from another business trip, and as I’m working on the rental car review (to get posted tomorrow), I want to see if any of you can guess what vehicle I had as a rental this last week.

The rules are simple, you get three hints and have to guess what it is. In real life I also let my friends ask three yes/no questions but since this is the internet, that’s too difficult to do. Also, since you’re car people, this should be super easy.

Anyway, here are your hints:

American Manufacturer (production on this specific vehicle is also within the US)

Mid-size SUV (according to Wikipedia)

Was last fully redesigned in 2010 (as a 2011 model) and was very well received by the press and consumers (won a bunch of awards and sold well). It had a slight tweak in its design for the 2014 model year and hasn’t really been touched since then. This most recent generation has been exported around the world, much like it’s namesake which brought freedom around the world during WWII…

So, what do you think I had? Were the hints (way) too obvious?

It has to be a Wrangler... 4 dr... but that’s an odd rental car.. unless you where some place by an ocean or other wise warm and sunny..

Edit: Yay! It was kinda easy, and I actually figured it out without reading the last part of the third clue. That definitely gave it away.
